The Flying Somm
Rossa PR told the story of how Canadian airline pilot, Ryan Sullivan, pivoted to entrepreneurship as The Flying Somm amid the COVID-19 pandemic. Ryan became an on-air Sommelier expert on CTV Morning Live and was also featured in Travel + Leisure, blogTO, Travel Life Magazine, Newstalk1010 and CBC Metro Morning.
Graydon Skincare is a plant-based beauty brand. Rossa PR has been assisting with press across North America including OK! Magazine, Fashion, Postmedia, PopSugar and more.
When I learned my childhood summer camp was struggling financially, I had to do something. I volunteered my services to promote the camp to media in British Columbia to try and raise $300,000. We achieved our fundraising goal.
City of Toronto
Supported City of Toronto with media relations for large scale events through Fall 2019 / Winter 2020. Events include: Nuit Blanche, Cavalcade of Lights, New Year's Eve, The Big Draw, Beer Museum, and additional projects as needed.
In June 2019, Mark Beringer came to Toronto to support the launch of the 2015 Beringer Vineyards Private Reserve Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon with an intimate dinner in partnership with LCBO vintages. In advance of the dinner, Rossa PR pitched a variety of industry and lifestyle media with an opportunity to sit down for a one-on-one interview and tasting with Mark Beringer at the Vintage Conservatory Private Wine Club in Toronto, ON on June 11, 2019.
The project had a one month lead time and we were able to nail interviews with top-tier media such as Financial Post, 100 Best Restaurants, PIE Magazine, Postmedia’s Waters on Wine, Vines Magazine, Swagger Magazine, View the Vibe, Preferred Magazine.
Ukrainian Canadian Cultural Society of Vancouver Island
Rossa PR provided media relations services to the Ukrainian Canadian Cultural Society of Vancouver Island to help raise awareness of their take out pierogi supper to raise money for unexpected repairs. The supper sold out immediately and all of the local news outlets supported the story, despite it being a global pandemic.
Rossa PR was tasked with creating a special experience for key accounts (restaurants) and media to celebrate Hayman’s Distiller’s 50th Anniversary. Christopher and James Hayman flew in from London for the event and Rossa PR curated a white glove experience for them complete with VIP chauffeur and activities in addition to the event.
We welcomed 20 key account head bartenders and sommeliers and 15 media to Oretta Restaurant for a unique Gin masterclass. Christopher Hayman walked the group through 50 years of innovation in gin making while simultaneously tasting through Sloe Gin, London Dry Gin, Old Tom Gin and a special 50th anniversary release, Rare Cut.
The level of detail was bar none and we even went so far as to swap out restaurant photos for photos of the distillery to offer guests an authentic Hayman’s experience just as if they were at the distillery in London, UK.
Guests left with a custom engraved bottle and key account orders jumped following the event. Media were quick to also pick Hayman’s up for Holiday 2019 stories.
Supported publicity and celebrity transportation and logistics for the Toronto International Film Festival 2019. Films include: Hustlers, Song of Names, American Woman, The Friend, Clifton Hill, Blood Quantum, and Guest of Honour.
